I’m Lindsay, Ottawa, IL photographer. The lady behind the camera making silly sounds and bad jokes to get your kiddo to smile. I have always been drawn to the arts since I was a child. When I was in college I took a film photography course for the first time, after that I took all the photography courses I could fit in. It’s funny one of our projects was to photograph at Starved Rock and now I live just minutes away capturing beautiful families during the many phases of their lives. After college I entered into the photography field taking photos of newborns at local hospitals. From there I worked at a couple different studios before I started off on my own.

In 2017 my husband and I bought our first house in Ottawa and about a month later our first son was born in the comfort of our home. Fun fact I am a birth nerd in my personal life and intend to delve into birth photography once my little humans aren’t quite so dependent on my every hour. Now we have 3 precious souls to share the world with, thus the move to a bigger home on the exact opposite side of Ottawa. We now have a lovely farmette with space for growth and abundance everywhere.

I’ve found motherhood is the most precious gift life has given me. It’s really when I started my own family my love for photography deepened. I wanted to press pause, to soak in the moments forever. There’s so many tiny details of our lives that are too easy to forget. When you take a photo, you lock those fine life points in to look back on and remember. That little dimple the baby had, a favorite stuffie they endlessly carried around, the feel of a little ones velvety smooth skin, him brushing hair behind your ear. Photos do not have to be smile at the camera and done, they can speak of your life, to your love. My passions surround love, I suppose. Starting with couples photography, maternity, newborn, milestone, smash cake and family photography. I hope to capture these authentic moments and help tell your story.
